To take a look at dissertations, I would recommend the Dissertations & Theses @ Loma Linda (ProQuest) database. And for dissertations and theses outside of Loma Linda, I would recommend ProQuest. Although you may not have full-text access to all of the papers, you will be able to review the abstracts. This should give you a good idea of the types of research out there.
